The Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions have been serving in India since 1946, when their first school was established at Kolkata.
Today the congregation runs over 21 educational institutions in the country; but in the same spirit of humility and service as our founder, Adèle-Euphrasie Barbier. The two patronal feasts of the Congregation highlight our spirituality: Pentecost and Visitation. They inspire our work for the empowerment of women and education; with a strong option for the girl child. » |
